Like its M1 predecessor, the M12 offers digital and analogue processing built on a dual mono design and harnessing the power of 3 internal supplies, with separate analogue power supplies feeding the two channels.
Along with pass-thru analogue inputs and a pure dual mono signal path, the M12 has been upgraded with network interfacing and media rendering capabilities, and can be seen as a DLNA device on any audio network. Any stream can be played via a wired connection in the network, enabling data transfer over longer distances without any sacrifice in quality.
Building on technology from Bricasti’s M1 SE converter, the M12 offers high resolution analogue gain and level control which handles output stage exclusively in the analogue domain. This design allows DSD playback at ultimate levels. While some DSD playback devices convert the signal to multi-bit sigma delta or PCM signal for filtering, the M12 processes all filtering purely in the analogue domain by employing a pure DSD path.
The M12’s control range spans 90db in 1db steps, and can be fully remote controlled and programmed.
As with all Bricasti products, the M12 is crafted by hand in Massachusetts USA.
